Saab Key Replacement
The loss of your car keys or misplacing them can be extremely inconvenient. It is easy and cheap to add a new car key if there is an extra key.
To add the new key, you'll need remove the electronic components from the old key fob and get it programmed to your car using a saab tech 2 device. There will be a cost if you delay this process.
Keys lost or stolen

It's costly to purchase the second key, and it will require the dealer to install and program a new TWICE Module (Column Integration Module for older vehicles) and an OEM key that is brand new (not from Amazon or eBay).
If your remote control keys are not locking or unlocking the car, there are many possible causes. The most common is a dead coin battery in the key fob. However, it could also be caused by worn buttons, water damage, signal interference and issues with the receiver module.
If the issue persists after you have checked all of these options, you can try reprogramming the ignition key. This is accomplished by changing the number count (in inverse hex) to zero in the ECU. In order to do this, you need to get access to the case of your car key fob. The best method for doing this is by removing the emergency key from the fob. Be careful when doing this and don't drop or pour any liquids inside the fob because they could damage the electronic components inside.

Every Saab since 1995 has been required to have an immobilizer system in the vehicle. This makes it virtually impossible to take your car away without a unique key.
